Magnific, now inside Autodesk Maya
Magnific runs over your Maya viewport. Frame the shot, describe what you want, and get images, video, PBR materials and full 3D models that land straight back in your scene as textures, materials and FBX. Same account and credits you use on magnific.com.
Maya 2025.3 or later · You'll need an active internet connection while generating.
Stay in your flow. We'll meet you there.
No renders to export, no browser tab to babysit. The composer floats over the viewport and the Magnific panel docks beside it, so every generation starts from the scene you are already looking at and ends up back inside it.
Install in 3 steps
Download the installer for your system, run it, and find Magnific inside Autodesk Maya.
Maya module (.zip)
- 1Download the .zip and unzip it somewhere permanent, such as Documents. One file for Windows and macOS, for Maya 2025.3 or later.
- 2Drag install.mel from the unzipped folder onto a Maya viewport. It installs per user, with no admin rights and no restart: Maya loads Magnific right away and keeps it for every Maya version you have.
- 3The composer bar appears over the viewport, with a Magnific menu and a shelf button. Open Magnific > Open Magnific panel, sign in through your browser, and start creating.

Magnific's creative engine, in your viewport
Image Generator
Generate from a prompt, or from the viewport or the Render View itself: frame the shot and Magnific keeps its composition.
Video Generator
Turn a frame or a playblast into video, restyle a shot, or upscale a clip. Results land in your feed and in your Downloads.
3D Model Generator
Build a textured model from a description or from up to four reference views, converted and imported into the scene as FBX.
PBR Materials & HDRI
Generate tileable materials, extract PBR maps onto the selected mesh as an OpenPBR or Arnold material, or generate an HDRI for an Arnold sky dome.
Retexture & Rig
Send a Maya mesh to Magnific to retexture it, rebuild its topology or rig it, and bring it back into the scene.
Upscale & Relight
Push a render to 4K, relight it, expand it or remove its background, without leaving Maya.
Feed & Stock
Browse your creations and search stock from the composer, and place any result in the scene as a file texture or an image plane.
More than a panel. A studio in the viewport.

- The composer bar floats over the active viewport, and a Magnific menu is added to Maya's main menu bar, together with a shelf button. Use Magnific > Show composer if the bar is hidden, and Magnific > Open Magnific panel for sign-in, settings and your running jobs.

- Yes, you'll need an active internet connection while generating. Images and video land in your Magnific feed and in Downloads/Magnific/Maya; materials are assigned to the selected mesh and 3D models are imported as FBX, straight into the scene.
- Drag install.mel onto a viewport from the unzipped folder, with install_magnific.py next to it, and keep that folder where it is: the installer points Maya at it. Then check the Script Editor for a message, since Magnific refuses to load below Maya 2025.3. If the plug-in is listed but off, enable magnific_maya_plugin in Windows > Settings/Preferences > Plug-in Manager with Auto load on.
- Yes. Commercial use is included on paid plans, under the same terms as content generated on magnific.com.
- Image generation from a prompt, the viewport or the Render View; upscaling, relighting, expanding, background removal and restyling; PBR materials and HDRIs; 3D models from text or images, plus retexturing and rigging of your own meshes; and video from a frame or a playblast. The same generative engine you use on magnific.com, inside Autodesk Maya.
