It's time to bring order to chaos. A file gets made, someone asks if it's approved, nobody knows, three people go dig through Slack to find out. Every team we've talked to has some version of this.
So we built Status & Tags for Magnific Projects. It's live now for everyone on paid plans.
What it does
Status - a review pipeline, out of the box. Every project ships with a ready-to-use set: Needs review, In progress, Approved, Rejected. One status per creation - apply a new one and it replaces the old one, so a file is always in a single, clear state. Filter your feed by status and see instantly what's pending, approved, or rejected.

Tags - your own labels. Color-coded, custom, per project. Organize by campaign, client, stage, whatever fits how you work. Unlike status, you can stack as many tags as you need on one creation.

Filters that are actually usable. Redesigned filter bar, a dedicated status filter in the toolbar, active filters shown as removable colored chips. No more digging through menus to find what you're looking for.
Works through MCP too. Manage status and tags from Claude, ChatGPT, or wherever you already work - not just inside Magnific.
Who this is for
Teams and agencies running a review pipeline. Anyone doing client approvals on AI output. Solo users who just want their own work organized. If you're managing creative output at any real volume, this is built for you.
Where to find it
It's on by default for all paid plans. We're actively iterating on this - let us know if you hit anything, or want to see it work differently.
