Magnific One: Every AI image looks the same. Here's how we're fixing it.

Write a few words and get an image that looks art-directed and stays on brand. Here’s what Magnific One does, how people reacted in a blind test, and how to try it unlimited until October 15.

Every AI image now looks like every other AI image. Same light. Same faces. Same posters.

We built Magnific One to fix that: an image model with art direction built in.

Here’s what it does, how people reacted in a blind test, how we launched it, and how to try it.

Magnific One does three things other image models don’t.

Aesthetics: every image looks directed

You write a few words. Magnific One adds what an art director would: the composition, the light, the camera angle.

That changes how you prompt. Short prompts work better than you’d think: some of our favorite images started with a single word, like “cinematic” or “documentary”. Say what matters, and let the model do the directing.

“Having something that feels like an Art Director guiding the creative process opens up so many possibilities.”
— Azed, creator

Draft mode: explore before you commit

Most of art direction is choosing. Draft gives you 8 or 16 different directions from one prompt, for the price of one image, so you can see your options before you commit. Pick the one you like and make it final, in 2K or 4K.

Brand Kit: your brand in every image

Set up your brand once, from your website, a PDF or a few images. Brand Kit captures your palette, type, imagery and tone, and every final image follows it, whoever on the team is generating.

The more it knows, the more it looks like you. Add a written guideline, up to 50 reference images, and simple rules like “logo bottom left”.

“Within a couple of hours of going back and forth with the agent, we were able to create such a breadth of content that’s all on brand and ready to go.”
— Rourke Heath, CEO and founder, GenHQ

In a blind test, people chose Magnific One

Before launch, we ran a blind test. Voters saw two images made from the same prompt by different models, without knowing which model made which, and picked the one they preferred. Five models took part: Magnific One, Midjourney, GPT Image 2, Nano Banana 2 and Seedream 5 Pro.

We opened it to creators, partners and business customers outside Magnific. Magnific One was the only model to win more than half of its matchups: people preferred its image almost two times out of three.

Blind test results: Magnific One won 63.1% of head-to-head votes, ahead of GPT Image 2 (48.8%), Midjourney (47.1%), Seedream 5 Pro (45.6%) and Nano Banana 2 (45.3%).
How to read this: each bar shows how often people picked that model’s image when it was shown next to another model’s image. Above 50% means a model won more matchups than it lost. Only Magnific One did.

Or test it yourself. In the Image Generator, select Magnific One and the model you use today, run the same prompt, and compare.

Why we built it

AI images are easy to make. Hard to make right.

Our team has spent years learning what makes an image good. But there was no place to put that knowledge. And our users had thirty models and no way to choose. So we built the image model we wanted ourselves, made for the work marketing and brand teams do every day.

Launch night in Singapore

Presenting Magnific One at Upscale Day in Singapore, October 8, 2026.

On October 8, I showed Magnific One for the first time, at our Upscale Day in Singapore. We had chosen an art gallery for it: the perfect setting to launch an image model with art direction built in. Every piece on the wall had been chosen, placed and lit by someone with taste. That’s art direction. That’s what Magnific One is about.

I’m usually a bit nervous before I go on stage. This time, I wasn’t. I was just excited. Excited to finally show the world what we’d built.

I finished my last slide. And then, applause.

Months of work, on the technology behind Magnific One and on the launch itself, came down to that moment. At 21:30 in Singapore, 15:30 in Madrid, Magnific One went live everywhere.

The first day

In the first 24 hours, thousands of people made images with Magnific One, and many of them set up their own Brand Kit.

We even made real cereal boxes for the night: Magnific One, "Art direction, built in", fortified with Brand Kit. People took them home.
