How to Create an AI Short Film with Magnific: Out Loud

Learn how to create an AI short film with Magnific, from character design to cinematic sequences, using the Out Loud workflow and 22 prompts.

Creating an AI short film means making decisions that hold together across every scene: who the character is, how the world looks, what a performance communicates, and when to cut.

In Out Loud, we follow Luca from private bedroom rehearsals to a talent-show audition, where judgment begins before the first note. The story unfolds through small details: a hand tightening around a backpack, a nervous glance, a child repeating an adult’s reaction.

Here, we break down how the film was made with Magnific, from character design in Nano Banana Pro to video generation with Seedance 2.5 Draft. You’ll find 22 prompts covering character variations, locations, individual shots, and multishot sequences, along with practical guidance for adapting the workflow to your own film.

How to create an AI short film with Magnific

The workflow starts with a consistent set of visual references. Develop your character, establish the environments, and prepare recurring props before generating the scenes. Then direct the action shot by shot and bring the selected footage into your edit.

For Out Loud, the workflow combined:

  • Nano Banana Pro in Magnific for character and location images.
  • Magnific stock assets and Designer for the audition flyer.
  • Seedance 2.5 Draft in Magnific for video sequences, followed by conversion to HD.
  • Adobe After Effects for post-production.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro for editing.

Each stage serves a different creative decision. The images establish what belongs in the world. The video prompts direct what happens within it. The edit determines how those moments build into a story.

Before you use the prompts

The prompts below retain their original Spanish and English wording, with internal asset IDs replaced by readable reference names.

Attach your own reference images wherever a prompt calls for a character, location, or prop. A label such as @LUCA_CASA identifies a reference; typing the label alone will not supply the image.

Prepare these assets before generating:

  • Character references: one approved identity, plus the outfits needed for each scene.
  • Bedroom references: variations for daytime, nighttime, and different states of tidiness.
  • Audition references: the stage, judges, venue exterior, and waiting area.
  • Graphic props: a finished flyer, event sign, and calendar.

The collection includes alternate versions of some scenes. Use the version that fits your shot list, and adapt the durations to your sequence.

1. Create a consistent AI character with Nano Banana Pro

Start with the casting portrait. Luca’s design specifies hair, complexion, skin texture, expression, and lighting before introducing a setting or action. This gives the character a clear visual identity that can carry across the film.

Once you have an approved portrait, use it as a reference for the wardrobe variations. Check the face, haircut, and proportions each time. The audition outfit, pajamas, and everyday looks should all feel like the same person at different moments.

Neutral backgrounds keep the focus on those decisions. You can assess character continuity before adding the complexity of a bedroom, bus, or stage.

Prompt 1: Cast Luca

Prompt 2: Create the audition outfit

Prompt 3: Create the pajamas

Prompt 5: Create the corset and cardigan look

Prompt 6: Create the green cardigan look

viste a @img1 como **LOOK DE INSTITUTO (día a día)**
Director de casting cinematográfico, fondo de estudio neutro gris azulado, luz plana y fría. Misma Luca.

2. Build location references that stay consistent across scenes

Luca’s bedroom is both a setting and a way to show time passing. Its core elements remain recognizable: dark wooden furniture, a blue-green bedspread, a corkboard, a desk, and a mustard-colored lamp.

Lighting, clothing, and scattered objects change around that structure. A tidy room in daylight becomes a messier space during late-night rehearsals.

For your own film, approve the room layout before creating variations. Reuse that reference and check the position of the window, bed, desk, and shelves. Establishing the location early gives you a clearer visual target when generating the next shot.

Prompt 7: Establish the bedroom

Prompt 8: Bedroom variation: unmade bed

**CAMA DESHECHA**

Prompt 9: Bedroom variation: clothes on the bed

Prompt 10: Bedroom variation: daytime

Prompt 11: Bedroom variation: nighttime rehearsal

Prompt 12: Bedroom variation: night

3. Design recurring props before generating the action

The audition introduces a different visual world: a red backdrop, reflective stage floor, judges’ table, and the illuminated “THE SPOTLIGHT” sign. Harder, warmer lighting shifts the mood from private rehearsal to public exposure.

The flyer connects those two worlds. It appears in the bedroom and returns as Luca approaches the audition, so its design needs to remain recognizable.

For Out Loud, the flyer began with a Magnific stock template, edited in Designer. Prepare your final wording, colors, and layout before using a graphic as a video reference. For details that need exact lettering, plan the finished graphic in advance and composite it in post where needed.

Establish the relationship between the venue’s exterior and interior, too. Choose references that feel like parts of the same building and production.

Prompt 13: Establish the talent-show studio

4. Generate cinematic sequences with Seedance 2.5 Draft

The visual direction for Out Loud combines a 16mm-inspired texture with restrained camera work: organic grain, subtle halation, muted colors, and small movements within the frame.

The early scenes use cool blue-gray tones. Onstage, the lighting becomes warmer and harsher. Repeating those directions across the prompts helps establish a shared visual language.

Performance direction is just as specific. Instead of asking for a character to “look nervous,” describe the action that reveals it: fingers tightening around a flyer, a small shift of weight, or eyes scanning an unseen audience.

Work one scene at a time

Attach the approved references, generate a scene or manageable group of shots, and review the result before expanding the sequence. Check the performance alongside the face, clothing, props, and environment.

If one action is difficult to control, isolate it as an insert. A jacket being zipped or a date being marked can be generated separately and placed where the edit needs it.

The prompts request 21:9 composition with space for a final crop. Protect the subject when framing, and apply the intended crop in the edit. Use the shot durations as pacing targets within the generation settings available to you.

Start with the flyer and rehearsal sequence

The rehearsal prompts build confidence over time. Luca sings tentatively, practices with a lyric sheet, falters, and starts again. Changes in clothing and room lighting help those moments read as different sessions.

Prompt 14: Place the flyer on the desk

Character: @LUCA_CASA
Location: desk corner of her room @Creation_#38 @HAB_DIA_ORDENADA
Flyer: @Flyer
Shot on 16mm analog film, organic visible grain, subtle halation on highlights, near-imperceptible frame instability, no exaggerated vintage filter look. hand camera, high angle shot looking down from the corner of the desk, 50mm equivalent lens, no camera movement. A wooden desk surface, empty of the flyer — a notebook, a couple of pens, 2 wired headphones, a desk lamp casting soft cold light. After 2 seconds, a hand of Luca @LUCA_CASA and forearm enter the frame from off-screen, holding a small A5-sized flyer @Flyer . The hand places the flyer down on the desk with a quick, deliberate motion — not gentle or lingering, a sharp intentional placement — then withdraws off-screen immediately. Do not show Luca's face — only arm, hand, and paper. Cold desaturated blue-grey color grade, low contrast, natural muted lighting, no music, atmospheric quiet. 21:9 panoramic framing, protect center and edges for final crop. No text, no logos, no visible brand names on any object.

Prompt 15: Build the rehearsal montage

**SHOT 1 (3s):**
Shot on 16mm analog film, organic visible grain, subtle halation on highlights, near-imperceptible frame instability, no exaggerated vintage filter look. Cold desaturated blue-grey color grade throughout, low contrast, natural muted lighting, no exaggerated vintage look. 21:9 panoramic framing, protect center and edges for final crop. A sequence of five consecutive static shots, hard cuts between each, no camera movement within any shot except where noted. No text, no logos, no visible brand names anywhere. The @Flyer is always on the desk.
Character: @LUCA_CASA
Location: @HAB_DIA_ORDENADA
**HARD CUT TO —**
**SHOT 2 (3s):** Static locked-off camera, front-facing medium shot, 50mm equivalent lens. A tidy teenage bedroom in cold morning light. The character stands in front of a mirror, holding a hairbrush up to their mouth like a microphone, singing along with shy, playful small movements — swaying slightly, small embarrassed half-smile, tentative unpracticed gestures. Room orderly and clean, cold blue-toned morning light. The @Flyer is always on the desk.
Character: @LUCA_ROSA
Location: @HAB_NOCHE_ORDENADA
**HARD CUT TO —**
**SHOT 3 (3s):** Static locked-off camera, wide side-on general shot, 35mm equivalent lens. A different day — the bedroom now shows small changes in small objects and lighting, still cold-toned. The character sits on the bed, wired headphones on, reading a handwritten lyric sheet, tapping a foot lightly to keep rhythm, head bobbing subtly. The @Flyer is always on the desk.
Character: @LUCA_VERDE
Location: @HAB_DIA_CAMA DESHEC…
**HARD CUT TO —**
**SHOT 4 (3s):** Static locked-off camera, 50mm equivalent lens. The character stands singing near the desk, heavy rain visible against the window behind them. Posture more confident than before, one hand making a small, contained expressive gesture as they sing. Grey wet afternoon light through the glass. The @Flyer is always on the desk.
Character: @LUCA_CASA
Location: @HAB_DIA_ORDENADA
**HARD CUT TO —**
**SHOT 5 (4s):** Static locked-off camera, medium shot framed from the doorway looking into the room, 50–65mm equivalent lens. Night — the character is lit primarily by a warm desk lamp, the room now visibly messier than in earlier shots. They stumble on a line while singing, lower their gaze, take a breath, and start again — three simple beats: sing, falter, restart. Warm lamp light against cool shadow. The @Flyer is always on the desk.
Character: @LUCA_CORTO
Location: @HAB_DIA_DESORDENADA
**HARD CUT TO —**
**SHOT 6 (5s):** Static locked-off camera with a slow, deliberate push-in, 85mm equivalent lens. Close frontal shot. The character sings with eyes closed, fully committed, quiet emotional intensity building. This is the hero shot of the rehearsal sequence — clean, uncluttered performance, no overlays or graphic elements in frame (those are added in post-production).
End of multishot sequence. Maintain consistent bedroom geometry and facial/character continuity across all five shots despite lighting and minor object changes. Do not describe or generate any specific clothing — wardrobe will be applied via reference image in post. The @Flyer is always on the desk.
Character: @LUCA_CORSE
Location: @HAB_NOCHE_DESORDENA…

Build the audition-day sequence

These prompts move from preparation to the journey and arrival. The standalone calendar, jacket, and exterior prompts offer alternate ways to build individual moments within the larger sequence.

Prompt 16: Calendar insert: standalone version

Shot on 16mm analog film, organic visible grain, subtle halation on highlights, near-imperceptible frame instability, no exaggerated vintage filter look. Cold desaturated blue-grey color grade throughout, low contrast, natural muted lighting, overcast dry weather — no rain, no wet surfaces, no umbrellas on any character. 21:9 panoramic framing, protect center and edges for final crop. A sequence of consecutive static shots, hard cuts between each, no camera movement except where noted. No text, no logos, no visible brand names anywhere. Do not describe or generate any specific clothing — wardrobe will be applied via reference image in post.
SHOT 7 (3s) — NUEVO: Static locked-off camera, close detail shot, 65mm equivalent lens, straight-on framing. A wall calendar @Image_Generator_#7 pinned above the desk. A hand reaches into frame and circle the 12th with a circle, then withdraws. No face visible.
Character: @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO (hands only)
Location: @Image_Generator_#7

Prompt 17: Audition day: preparation, bus journey and arrival

The A5-size flyer @Flyer is a burgundy/red design with gold stars and marquee-style lettering (user-provided, composited exactly as-is — do not regenerate its graphics or typography).
SHOT 7 (3s) — NUEVO: Static locked-off camera, close detail shot, 65mm equivalent lens, straight-on framing. A wall calendar @CALENDAR_STILL pinned above the desk, days crossed out one by one in pen up through February 11th, the 12th circled or marked distinctly — today is the audition day. A hand reaches into frame and crosses off the 11th with a final stroke, then withdraws. No face visible.
Character: @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO (hands only)
Location: @CALENDAR_STILL
HARD CUT TO —
Static locked-off camera, close detail shot, 65mm equivalent lens. Tight framing on the character's torso and hands, no face visible. Hands zip up a jacket, gripping the zipper pull and drawing it upward in one smooth, deliberate motion from chest height to the collar. Focus on the texture of the jacket fabric and the mechanical detail of the zipper closing. Quiet, focused, unhurried gesture — a small ritual of getting ready.
Character: @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO @LUCA_AUDICIÓN
Location: @HAB_DIA_ORDENADA
HARD CUT TO —
SHOT 9 (3s): Static locked-off camera, low front angle, 65mm equivalent lens. The character ties their shoelaces sitting on the edge of the bed, the backpack already on both shoulders, then rises out of frame upward — face not required in shot, focus on hands, shoes, backpack straps, and floor.
Character: @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO @LUCA_AUDICIÓN
Location: @HAB_DIA_ORDENADA
HARD CUT TO —
SHOT 10 (4s): Static wide establishing shot, no main character yet, 35mm equivalent lens. A small northern English town street: dry brick buildings, overcast grey sky (no rain), modest shopfronts with the name "Leeds United", period-appropriate signage and architecture (2010, nothing anachronistic). An old bus passes through frame left to right at a natural steady speed. No umbrellas, no wet pavement.
HARD CUT TO —
SHOT 11 (3s): Static camera, very stable handheld-on-shoulder feel (minimal movement), close profile shot from the adjacent bus seat, 85mm equivalent lens. The character sits with the backpack on their lap, arms wrapped around it, looking out through the bus window, faint reflection blending with passing houses outside. Dry window, no condensation or rain streaks — overcast light only.
Character: @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO
HARD CUT TO —
SHOT 12 (2s): Static camera, close shot from across the aisle, 85mm equivalent lens. A mother and her young son seated together glance toward the character — not openly hostile, but a quick up-and-down look from the mother, the boy following her gaze curiously, then both turn back to face forward. Subtle, understated, over almost as soon as it happens.
HARD CUT TO —
SHOT 13 (2s): Static camera, close shot from a different angle across the aisle, 85mm equivalent lens. An older man seated nearby also glances toward the character a beat after the mother and son — the same kind of quick, judgmental once-over, then he too looks away, back to his own business.
HARD CUT TO —
SHOT 14 (2s): Static camera, reverse angle close shot on the character's face, 85mm equivalent lens. She notices the glances from the corner of her eye, tightens her grip slightly on the backpack, turns her face back toward the window, expression carefully neutral.
Character: @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO
HARD CUT TO —
SHOT 15 (4s): Static wide shot, slight low angle, 35mm equivalent lens. The character arrives at a municipal theatre/civic center converted into a small TV set, backpack visible on their shoulders. Other contestants and family members wait outside, dry pavement, overcast sky, no umbrellas anywhere, "The Spotlight" event signage visible in the background (generic, non-legible design — final signage composited in post). The character can be shown from behind or small within the frame.
Character: @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO

Prompt 18: Jacket insert: expanded version

Shot on 16mm analog film, organic visible grain, subtle halation on highlights, near-imperceptible frame instability, no exaggerated vintage filter look. Cold desaturated blue-grey color grade throughout, low contrast, natural muted lighting. 21:9 panoramic framing, protect center and edges for final crop. No text, no logos, no visible brand names anywhere.
Static locked-off camera, close detail shot, 65mm equivalent lens. Tight framing on the character's chest, shoulders and hands, no face visible. The character is wearing a plain basic white t-shirt. Hands pick up a jacket from off-frame and pull it on over the shoulders one arm at a time, settling it into place across the chest, then grip the zipper pull at the base and draw it upward in one continuous, deliberate motion from chest height to the collar. Clear visible progression: white t-shirt fully exposed at the start, jacket going on, zipper closing at the end. Focus on the texture of the white cotton fabric transitioning to the jacket fabric, and the mechanical detail of the zipper teeth closing.
Character: @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO @LUCA_AUDICIÓN
Location: @HAB_DIA_ORDENADA

Prompt 19: Venue exterior: standalone version

Shot on 16mm analog film, organic visible grain, subtle halation on highlights, near-imperceptible frame instability, no exaggerated vintage filter look. Cold desaturated blue-grey color grade, low contrast, overcast dry weather — no rain, no wet surfaces, no umbrellas on any character. 21:9 panoramic framing, protect center and edges for final crop. No text, no logos, no visible brand names anywhere except the illuminated "THE SPOTLIGHT" marquee sign, which must be reproduced exactly as the provided reference (bulb-lit lettering, tiered marquee shape) — do not regenerate its typography or add any other posters, flyers, or signage on the building.
Static wide shot, slight low angle, 35mm equivalent lens, no camera movement. Exterior of a plain 1970s-style brick civic center/community hall converted into a small TV studio for the day, flat overcast grey sky, dry pavement. A modest covered entrance porch with a single door @Image_Generator_#9 , the illuminated "THE SPOTLIGHT" @logo marquee sign mounted above or beside the entrance as the only signage on the building — no other posters, flyers, or additional branding anywhere on the walls. A small queue of 5-6 contestants and accompanying family members waits near the entrance, some standing in loose conversation, others already filing through the door, all in dry ordinary clothing, no umbrellas. The main character walks toward the entrance from the foreground, seen from behind or at a small scale within the wide frame, backpack visible on her shoulders, approaching the queue.
Character: @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO (seen from behind or small in frame)

Direct tension through hands, eyes, and reactions

The waiting room and stage entrance narrow the focus: the participant sticker, a folded flyer, careful footsteps, nervous hands, and an extreme close-up of Luca’s eyes.

The audience sequence uses another pattern. An adult reacts, a child watches, and the child repeats the behavior. The order of those actions carries the idea.

Prompt 20: Participant sticker and waiting room

Shot on 16mm analog film, organic visible grain, subtle halation on highlights, near-imperceptible frame instability, no exaggerated vintage filter look. Cold desaturated blue-grey color grade throughout, low contrast, natural muted lighting. 21:9 panoramic framing, protect center and edges for final crop. No text, no logos, no visible brand names anywhere. Do not describe or generate any specific clothing — wardrobe fully controlled via the @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO reference assets.
**SHOT 16 (3s):** Static locked-off camera, close detail shot, 65mm equivalent lens. A staff member's hand (only hand visible, not the person) presses a small paper participant number "029" sticker onto the character's jacket, smoothing it down with a thumb. No face visible, no legible number on the sticker — plain paper placeholder, number added in post.
Character: @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO (torso only)
Location: pasillo del teatro
HARD CUT TO —
Static locked-off camera, medium frontal shot, very slow almost imperceptible dolly-in, 65mm equivalent lens. The character waits alone in a modest waiting room/holding area — not a corridor, but a slightly larger space: a few rows of plastic stacking chairs along one wall, a folding table with paper cups and a water jug in the background, fluorescent overhead lighting, plain institutional walls in a dull cream or pale grey tone, a noticeboard with unreadable flyers pinned to it out of focus in the background. Se mueve y mira hacia los lados un poco nerviosa, holding the folded flyer tightly between both hands, knuckles slightly tense, gaze fixed forward, occasional small shift of weight from one foot to the other. In the background, softly out of focus, 3 to 4 other contestants and a couple of accompanying family members move through the space at different moments — one crossing left to right, two others chatting briefly near the table, another sitting down with a parent — natural, staggered, non-choreographed movement to suggest a busy but low-key waiting area, none of them interacting with the main character.

Location: sala de espera del teatro (waiting room, not corridor)

Prompt 21: Stage entrance: four-shot sequence

Shot on 16mm analog film, organic visible grain, subtle halation on highlights, near-imperceptible frame instability, no exaggerated vintage filter look. Color grade shifts here from the cold blue-grey of the earlier sequences to the harder, warmer, slightly saturated stage lighting described below. 21:9 panoramic framing, protect center and edges for final crop. No text, no logos, no visible brand names anywhere except the illuminated "THE SPOTLIGHT" marquee sign mounted center-stage on the red backdrop, which must be reproduced exactly as the provided reference (bulb-lit lettering, tiered marquee shape, warm gold glow, star motif) — do not regenerate its typography or add any other signage. A sequence of four consecutive shots, hard cuts between each, duration and tension escalating shot by shot toward the final extreme close-up.
SHOT A (5s) — Plano general de la entrada: Slow zoom wide shot filmed from the back of the audience, centered on the aisle, 35mm equivalent lens, no camera movement. Full view of the set as established: black truss rigging overhead with multiple spotlights casting angled beams through light haze, a solid red backdrop wall with star motifs and the glowing "THE SPOTLIGHT" sign centered above a low black stage with reflective floor, a red carpeted aisle running down the center between packed rows of seated audience members (silhouetted, out of focus, dark). At the foot of the stage, the three judges sit at a long table with their backs to camera, facing the stage. The character enters from the right side of the stage (screen-right), stepping into the lit performance area and walking toward a mark near the center, backpack no longer visible. Both the judges and the audience show ordinary small movements in their seats, some turning their heads slightly toward the entering figure. Hard warm spotlights on the stage floor, dark cool tones in the audience area, faint haze in the light beams.
Character: @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO (entering from stage right, seen from behind/side as she walks in)

HARD CUT TO —
SHOT B (3s) — Plano detalle de los pies: Static locked-off camera, low detail shot at floor level, 85mm equivalent lens, no camera movement. Close on the character's shoes and lower legs, walking across the dark reflective stage floor toward the mark, each footstep landing deliberately, the reflection of the overhead spotlights sliding across the glossy black floor with each step. Sound of footsteps implied through visual weight and pacing — slightly slower and more careful than a natural stride, betraying nerves.
Character: @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO (feet/legs only)
Location: @ESCENARIO
HARD CUT TO —
SHOT C (3s) — Plano detalle de las manos: Static locked-off camera, extreme close-up detail shot, 100mm equivalent lens, no camera movement. Close on both hands at her sides, se toca las manos con nerviosismo. Hard spotlight catching the tension in the skin and tendons. No face, no background context — isolated entirely on the hands.
Character: @LUCA_AUDICIÓN_VIDEO (hands only)
Location: @ESCENARIO
HARD CUT TO —
SHOT D (4s) — Primerísimo primer plano de los ojos: Static locked-off camera, extreme close-up on the character's eyes, tight cropped framing showing only the upper portion of the face — eyes, brow, and a sliver of nose, no more. 100mm equivalent lens, no camera movement. Harsh, slightly unflattering hard overhead spotlight catching the eyes directly, a thin warm rim of red backdrop glow faintly visible at the very edge of frame, the "THE SPOTLIGHT" sign not visible at this scale. Her eyes scan slowly across the unseen audience in front of her, small nervous movement — a natural, unforced shift of gaze from one side to the other, not a fixed stare, small tells of nervousness in the tension around the eyes: eyelids slightly too wide, a subtle tightening at the corners, a single slow blink. Skin texture and eye detail rendered with high realism, shallow depth of field with everything beyond the eyes falling softly out of focus. No visible judges or audience — the extreme closeness excludes them from frame entirely.

Prompt 22: Audience reactions: four-shot sequence

SHOT 20 (6s):
Static locked-off camera, medium close shot from the side, 85mm equivalent lens. A father in his 40s leans slightly toward his young son (around 8-10 years old) seated beside him in the audience. He speaks in a low murmur without turning his head, lip-synced. The boy turns his head to look up at his father as he speaks, listening intently. As soon as the father finishes the line, the boy turns his gaze back toward the stage, giving a small, subtle shake of the head — barely more than a twitch, understated and natural, with a faint tightening around the mouth, nothing exaggerated or performed. Both hold this position for a further 2 seconds, facing the stage in silence.
PADRE (susurrado, EN): "Look at the state of her, honestly..."
Personajes libres: padre + hijo
Location: @img2
SHOT 21 (6s) — SIN DIÁLOGO:
Static locked-off camera, close-up shot, 85mm equivalent lens. A mother in her 40s looks the character up and down with a visible expression of disapproval — a slight downward pull at the corners of the mouth, a small skeptical narrowing of the eyes, restrained and controlled rather than visceral. Her daughter (early teens) sits beside her, watching her mother's face closely as the expression plays out. As her mother's expression settles, the daughter turns her own gaze toward the stage, giving a small, subtle head shake — understated, almost imperceptible, with the faintest hint of a wrinkle at the nose, nothing overplayed. Both hold still for a further 2 seconds, gaze fixed on the stage.
Personajes libres: madre + hija
Location: @img1
SHOT 22 (6s):
Static locked-off camera, close shot, 85mm equivalent lens. An adult woman leans in close to a young girl's ear (around 9 years old) seated next to her, murmuring something, lip-synced. The girl looks up and sideways at the woman while she speaks, listening closely. The moment the woman finishes, the girl turns her face back to the stage, giving a small, subtle shake of the head — natural and understated, a faint tightening around the mouth, not exaggerated. Both remain still, eyes on the stage, for a further 2 seconds before the cut.
ADULTA (susurrado, EN): "Let's see if this girl actually thinks she's going far."
Personajes libres: adulta + niña
Location: @img2
SHOT 23 (7s):
Static locked-off camera, medium shot, very slight slow push-in, 65mm equivalent lens. A father in his 30s-40s sits with two children (around 7 and 10 years old) on either side of him. He mutters under his breath with a small, subtle shake of the head, lip-synced — understated, not exaggerated. Both children turn their heads to look up at him as he speaks. As he finishes, both children turn back toward the stage in near unison, mirroring the same small, subtle head shake as their father, faint and natural, nothing performed. All three hold their position for a further 2 seconds, facing the stage in silence.
PADRE (EN): "what's going on with that hair?"
Personajes libres: padre + 2 niños
Location: @ESCENARIO

5. Adapt the prompts to your own shot list

Use these prompts as a starting point for your own direction. Before generating, make sure each shot gives a clear instruction for the result you want.

  • Choose one camera behavior. Where an original prompt combines a fixed camera with a push-in or zoom, select the movement that serves your scene.
  • Make text exceptions explicit. If you need a sign or number, distinguish it from instructions that exclude other text. Use a blank surface when adding the design in post.
  • Match references to the scene. Check that the attached image has the intended outfit, room state, and lighting, even when an asset’s name suggests something different.
  • Clarify the shot list. The rehearsal block includes shared setup directions before its performance shots. List the shots you want explicitly when adapting it.
  • Replace incomplete reference labels. Some original bedroom names end in an ellipsis. Link your complete, approved references.
  • Keep timing flexible. Split longer sequences into smaller groups when needed, then refine their pace in the edit.

The goal is to give each generation a clear visual and dramatic purpose. Review it against that purpose before deciding what to change.

6. Bring the film together in post-production

After video generation, Out Loud moved through HD conversion in Magnific, post-production in After Effects, and editing in Premiere Pro.

This is where individual performances become a sequence. A glance needs enough time to register. A reaction shot needs to arrive at the right moment. A pause can give the audience room to understand what Luca is experiencing.

Use post-production to make recurring text and graphic elements consistent, including participant numbers and event signage. Shape the music, dialogue, and ambient sound around the emotional rhythm of your cut.

Before export, review the film for character continuity, wardrobe, room layout, props, stage geography, and crop. Watch it once without sound to check whether the gestures and reactions communicate on their own.

Build your next AI film around clear creative decisions

Out Loud brings character design, location development, performance direction, and editing into one filmmaking process. Each reference establishes something the next scene can build on. Each prompt describes a moment that earns its place in the story.

Start with a character and one environment. Develop a short sequence, review what stays consistent, and refine the action before moving on. Use the prompts above to explore how framing, lighting, and small gestures can support your own story.
